My first foray into Georgian food. My husband and I wandered in after seeing a movie at Laemmle nearby and strolling to enjoy the block's holiday decor. The boiled beef and pork dumpling was the star of the evening - flavorful, soupy, light, and tender. The bread stuffed with greens was really tasty too, especially with butter spread on top. We also tried the boiled mushroom dumpling which was very earthy and not as complex tasting as the beef. And we sampled a couple fried dumplings - beef with pork and cheese. While the fried ones were tasty and easier to eat by hand (the traditional way according to our wonderful server), we preferred the boiled beef dumpling across the board. My Moscow Mule was nicely balanced. Everyone on the staff was very sweet and our server didn't miss a beat. It felt like visiting another country or going to a friend's house from another culture who was excited to share foods from their homeland. I'd happily return to try more of their country's cuisine.

First time having Armenian/Georgian food. My friend took us here so that we could finally try it. We ordered: Khachapuri- Georgian Cheese bread Mediterranean Salad - Tomatoes and cucumbers tossed with herbs, olive oil and spices Khinkali (Boiled) - Beef, Cheese and Mushroom Khinkali (Fried) - Beef, Cheese and Mushroom Napoleon Mikado Overall, everything is excellent. I loved the Khachapuri and the fried Khinkali. The Napoleon was also great. Would definitely come back and try other items - specially the skewers.

Amazing food! They have the best khinkalis in all of California and amazing bbq skewer plates. The dumplings are very soupy inside, it's perfect especially during the colder weather. Also best fries ever, always crispy! Amazing dessert options too which are all good especially napoleon and honey cake. Highly recommend khinkali house! The service is amazing and everyone is always catering to your needs. I love how there's so many options of food to choose from on the menu, even the pickiest eaters will guarantee find something they like on the menu.

Last week, my wife and I decided to try something new and visited an Armenian restaurant for the first time. We were so impressed that I felt like I had to leave a review. First off, the staff was wonderful, especially our server Anastacia. She was very attentive, helpful, and gave us great recommendations on the best dishes on the menu. We tried the borscht, and it was hands down the best soup I've ever had. We also had khinkali--both fried with cheese and boiled with meat. The fried ones with cheese were especially good--the cheese was melted, and it was just delicious. And the lamb chops were also great, though the portion could be a bit bigger. It would be nice if they added some salad greens on the side too, though the potatoes served with it were a nice touch. The food here is so different from what we usually have. We also ordered some Georgian wine, though, to be honest, I didn't catch the name, but we really enjoyed it. For dessert, we had Napoleon. We were already full, but it was so wonderful that we finished it and even ordered another one to take home. It would be awesome to bring friends here next time.

My husband and I recently visited Khinkali House after hearing good things about their khinkali. Overall, our experience was enjoyable, with some standout moments. We started our meal with a pickled vegetable medley that included pickles, cabbage, green tomato, cauliflower, and carrots. Unfortunately, the dish was too salty for my taste, so it wasn't a favorite of mine. Next, we tried the Khachapuri, a traditional Georgian cheese bread. It was our first time trying it, and we were impressed. The dough was soft and perfectly baked, with a generous amount of flavorful cheese inside - a delicious start to our meal. Finally, we moved on to the main event: khinkali. We decided to try both boiled and fried versions. My husband preferred the boiled khinkali, while I found the fried version to have a better taste. The meat filling was tasty, and the broth inside each dumpling was flavorful. One thing to note: the waiter asked if we wanted sour cream or butter with our khinkali, and we decided to try both. However, we were surprised to find that these were extra charges on our bill, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. While I didn't mind paying for the sour cream, I mentioned that we didn't touch the butter, and the waiter kindly removed it from our bill. She was very attentive throughout our meal, checking in on us several times to make sure we were satisfied. To finish, I ordered an Armenian coffee, which was quite nice, though nothing extraordinary. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and while we chose to sit inside, the outdoor area looked inviting, especially for an evening visit. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and are considering trying their pelmeni on our next visit.

Dinner night with the family here. I tried their zhyangalov hats, cheese khinkali (fried), and mushroom khinkali (boiled), and we got a Mediterranean salad to share. Salad was good; refreshing and not over salted/seasoned. The zhyangalov hats was ok; I ordered it only because they were sold out on the khachapouri (which I def want to try next time). I thought there was more bread than greens (personal preference). The khinkali were great though. Fried cheese is the only way to go for the cheese and was an excellent pair to the boiled mushroom. Mushroom was deliciously juicy and very well seasoned (almost a little bit too much salt but the dumpling dough adjusted for it). The cheese was excellent. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night, with very few open tables and a bit loud/rowdy. Our waitress was really kind and patient the whole evening. Food came out reasonably paced (the khinkali was the slowest component). Def would come again. I'd do a redo of the khinkali and hopefully try the khachapouri next time.

Ive been a regular here since they've opened and I absolutely love this place. If you want khinkali, this is the absolute best place to go to. I have a lot of favorites across the menu, but my top orders are: - fried beef khinakli - boiled beef khinkali - cheese khachapuri - ich salad Their meat and fish skewer selections are also delicious and great quality. Most people are a fan of their dessert, but if I'm honest, that's the one thing I do not order here, I have not been a fan of their cakes. This place is great for large and small parties, wonderful to come to on a nice day to sit outside, and also kid friendly menu items. Service and ambience are great, very laid back and casual. I highly recommend trying this place if you haven't already. They have a parking garage in the same building, very close by.

Would've gave this a 5 star rating, but knocked off a star due to the high prices for a small portion of food. It was my first time trying Georgian food and wow was I impressed with the dumplings! I'm lactose intolerant so wasn't able to try the cheese khinkali, but the FRIED BEEF, truly delicious! We also got the boiled one, but the fried one had different textures with the crunchy skin and juicy inside (almost like a soup dumpling!) The chicken breast skewer was also so tender and flavorful. We made mini wraps with the veggies too. For appetizer we got the dolma which was also delicious, but not a must have. Servers were quick and nice and it's overall it has a nice mom and pop store vibe. Because of the higher prices, would recommend Khinkali house as more of a nicer dinner option. For 3 people after ordering so much food, we weren't full. There's are paid parking lots nearby.
